Elizabeth Estelle Sowell, 70, of Wakefield, MS, was born on May 18, 1941, and passed away on January 15, 2012, at Baptist Hospital DeSoto in Southaven, MS. Born in Walls, MS, Elizabeth grew up in Coldwater where she met and married her husband of 53 years, Norman G. Sowell, and together they raised four children. Norman preceded her in death on March 26, 2010. She leaves behind her loving children, Norman Gene Sowell, Jr., Paula Sides, Conway Sowell, and Elizabeth Sowell; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, at New Garden Cemetery in Wakefield, MS, where she will be laid to rest beside her loving husband.
