Edward Britt Bender, Sr., 59, of Olive Branch, MS went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 9, 2023. Britt was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Britt Bender; and father, Ruben Bender. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Tracy Myers Bender; son, Mason Money; daughter, Callie Money Eldred (Ethan); son, Edward Britt Bender, Jr. (Mary Anne); son, Ethan Bender; and grandchildren: Evelynn, Raelynn, Walker Eldred, and a brother, Carl Bender (Patty). Britt was born on March 10, 1964 in Eufaula, AL. He is a 1982 graduate of Eufaula High School. He graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in music education. While at Auburn he was a member of the Auburn University Marching Band playing tuba, Auburn Knights Jazz Band playing baritone saxophone, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia fraternity. He has worked the last 16 years with CBRE as a Senior Lease Analyst where he was a great asset to his company and clients. In his free time, he enjoyed watching the Auburn Tigers play, spending time with his grandbabies, and taking care of his wife and lawn. Britt was a believer in Jesus Christ and an active member of LaBelle Haven Baptist Church where he enjoyed teaching God’s word. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Monday, June 12, 2023 from 5-7 pm. A funeral service will be held at LaBelle Haven Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Autumn Woods Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in his honor to the LaBelle Haven Baptist Church building fund or Camp ASCCA, which is a camp for children and adults with disabilities where Britt worked summers during his time at Auburn.
