David Vanderburg

Olive Branch - David Hoover Vanderburg, 77, passed away at his home in Olive Branch, MS on December 17, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, R.P. and Irah Clay Funderburk. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Peggy Eason Vanderburg; three sons, Clay (Misty), Scott (Cyndee), and Robert (Cheryl) Vanderburg; one daughter, Susan Vanderburg Johnson; 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and three brothers, Sidney Vanderburg, Laney Funderburk, and R.P. Funderburk, III. David dedicated 55 years of business service to the Olive Branch community. He opened his first business in 1957, Vanderburg Furniture & Hardware. He was a broker of David Vanderburg Realty and owner of Circle V Ranch in Como, MS. He was known for his sharp business mind and his fair and honest nature. He had a strong faith in the Lord and was loved dearly by his wife, children and grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday December 18 at Brantley Funeral Home.
