He was preceded in death by his parents Clebert J. Markle and Mahaley C. Webb.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Dorothy Markle; 2 daughters; Tammy Markle Tompkins and husband Dwain and Debbie Markle Garrett and husband Jerry; 4 grandchildren, Jeremy (Nikki), Jamie (Bob), Trey and Shane; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Pat Mills, Mary Partridge and Carol (David) Whitten and 1 brother David Leon Markle.
A gathering of friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Brantley Funeral Home with burial to follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
