

Charlotte Ann Jawhar, RN, 76, of Olive Branch, MS went to be with the Lord on April 5, 2025. Mrs. Jawhar was born on July 17, 1948 in Morgantown, WV to the late Gerald Hardin and Roberta Noreen Wise. She graduated from Memphis State University in 1978 with a BSN. She worked in the critical care unit of St. Francis Hospital for over 20 years. In her career she also worked as a home health nurse and Johns Hopkins in Houston, TX. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her friends from high school. They had a group they called “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” and they would travel together and plan the high school reunions. Her last trip was three years ago when she took her children to St. Louis to see Beyonce in concert and she visited friends while there as well. She also enjoyed watching sports with her family and attending Memphis Redbirds games. In her later years, she got into flower gardening. She enjoyed attending the Hummingbird Festival in Holly Springs every year. One of her greatest joys was thrift shopping and antiquing to see what treasures she could find. Mrs. Jawhar was a believer in Jesus Christ and an active Member of Bethel Presbyterian Church. She was an elder at the church, a part of the Presbyterian Women, and a yoga instructor. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Denzil E. Hardin, John D. Hardin, and Charles L. Hardin; and her step-sister, Willa Dean Brunette. She is survived by her husband, Jamal A. Jawhar; son, Bashar Jawhar; daughter, Jennifer Jawhar Newsom (Rodney); granddaughter, Emma Reese; step-sisters: Carol Wise Rushing, Judy Wise Hannah, and Barbie Wise Burns; sister-in-law, Hanan Brown; and many cousins throughout North America.
