

Carl Thomas Jackson, 75, passed away on March 14, 2017. He was born in Ghent, KY on December 5, 1941. He served 20 years in the U.S. Army retiring in 1980. He owned and operated Poplar & Hollywood Texaco for 19 years. He was very active in the VFW and served as a TN State Commander in 2004-2005. He also belonged to the American Legion, Al Chymia Shrine, and Classic Cars. Tom was married to his wife Jeanne for 52 years. He has two daughters, Karen Jackson and Linda McNabb (Barry); two grandchildren, Justin Dial and Carley Dial; a sister, Maureen Williamson; a brother, William Jackson (Gitty), and also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl & Polly Jackson, and two sisters, Jana Webster and Rhonda Jackson. Family will receive guests Friday, March 17, 2017, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 p.m. with the services to immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654. Burial will be held at West TN Veteran's Cemetery on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
