Allen Lynn Riley, 62, of Coldwater, MS passed away January 11, 2024. Lynn was born April 26, 1961 in Memphis, TN to the late Herman and Betty Mae Riley. He grew up in the Cedarview area of DeSoto County. He loved cars and working on cars. He owned his own body shop, Riley’s Body Shop. In his free time he enjoyed rebuilding old cars and building drag and dirt racing cars. He loved his family dearly and one of his greatest joys in life was being “Big Daddy” to his grandchildren. He had a servant’s heart and was always willing to help anyone who needed it. Over the years he helped raise many children who did not belong to him by blood and loved them as his own. He was a believer in Jesus Christ and a member of Wyatt Baptist Church. Lynn was preceded in death by his brother, Andy Riley; and sister, Penny Gross. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathy Riley; son, Jason “Bird” Riley (Ashton); son, Brad Riley (Cissy); grandchildren: Gavin Riley, Alexis Riley, Tatum Riley, Chase Riley, Mabre Riley, Neely Williams, Gabby Lisk, and Allanah Pounds; brother, Darrell “Flop” Riley; sister, Lucy Allred; and nephew, Justin “Chub” Riley. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 5-8 pm. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 2:00 pm also at Brantley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lebanon Cemetery.
