Wesley M. Moulton, 96, of Old Town, Maine passed away peacefully on February 28, 2023. Wesley, known as Wes, was born to Orlando (Jack) M. Moulton and Sadie Carr, on February 16, 1927, in Washington Township, Maine.
As a young man, he served in the United States Army. He was a World War II Veteran stationed in Japan. Upon returning home he obtained the occupation and trade of becoming a grade and a blast foreman in construction work. His occupation allowed him to help build roads in Connecticut, Maine, and New York. He ended his career working as a Forman for the City Of Bangor.
In his free time, as a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints, Wes became interested in doing family history research. For many years he helped others with their family history when he was given the opportunity and privilege of helping to organize and establish the Bangor Family History Center located at 639 Grandview Ave, Bangor, Maine. In addition he organized bus trips for church members to attend the Washington, D.C. Temple. He had many church callings and assignments given to him throughout his lifetime.
Wes is survived by his devoted wife of 75 years, Roberta (Holmes) Moulton; two daughters, Judy Ann (Moulton) Moores, and Julie Anna (Moulton) DeGrasse and her husband Everett. He is predeceased by his parents, Orlando (Jack) and Sadie; his two brothers, Lionel J. Moulton, and Francis O. Moulton, and two sisters; Marguerite M. (Moulton) Mathes and Patricia A. (Moulton) Rossignol and a son-in-law, William Moores. Wes loved his family and his grandchildren, Nathan W. Moores & wife, Vicky of Ewa, Hawaii, Rick A. DeGrasse and & wife Earleen of Greenbush, ME., Carrie A. Moores LaFlamme, & husband Steve, Hermon, ME., Kirk D. DeGrasse & wife Stephanie, Greenbush, ME., Brett E. DeGrasse & wife Julie, Pittsfield, ME., Christopher B. DeGrasse & wife Hillary, Parsonsfield, ME.; his great-grandchildren, William, Taylor, Scarlet, Grace, Ash, Hayden, Amiee, Ripley, Brawley, Lily, Wyatt, Squire, Cade, Brix, Jace, & Axel.
A graveside interment and memorial is planned in the spring at Lawndale Cemetery in Old Town Maine.
