INDIAN ISLAND—Shannon Leigh Snell, 48, died April 15, 2020 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born March 12, 1972 in Minot, ND a daughter of Gary and Theresa (Sapiel) Snell.
Shannon will be remembered by her many friends as “Shannanigans” at Sockalexis Bingo Hall where she worked and loved to play when she could. She was a graduate of Old Town High School and was the Jeopardy Queen. She enjoyed family time especially around the holidays and immensely enjoyed the relationship she had with her daughter. She loved the New England Patriots and her cats. Many fond memories were made with her friends going to concerts, playing cards, or going fishing.
She is survived by her daughter Felicia “Pudd” Snell; two brothers Sheldon Snell and Steven Snell; two nieces Tasheena Sapiel and Sara Mae Snell; two nephews Brandon Robbins and Joseph Robbins; aunt and uncle Sue and David Sapiel, god child Marccus Sapiel; close friends Sonya, Denise, Jan, Stella, Onawa, Anjuli, and Chris and step-father Johnny Bartlett. She was predeceased by her father Gary Snell, mother Theresa Bartlett; brothers Scott Sapiel and Shawn Snell
Burial will be at Tribal Cemetery, Indian Island.
