His world was his daughter Peyton. His family was a close second! He worked as a custodian at 14th Street School and Fairmount School in Bangor where students and staff enjoyed many conversations with Mr. Ziggy. He was very fond of all of them.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Laurie and Charlie Mitchell and Craig Ziegenbein and his fiancée Kim Lynch; his beautiful daughter, Peyton Ziegenbein-Cossar; his brother, Colin and Becky Ziegenbein; his Uncles, Jimmy and Aunt Minya Lynch and Uncle Wilson and Aunt Joan; his Aunt, Kris Young; his cousins, Meisha and Mike Nickerson (Kenzie and Maddox), Derek Irish, Kerri Dow and Micki Dow, Eve, Sam and Anna Patterson.
He was predeceased by his son, Hunter Ziegenbein, his Nana, Carol King, his Aunt, Teresa Dow, and his cousin Erica Dow as well as many more.
Ryan absolutely loved life. Everything having to do with his daughter was the best – flying to Minnesota for her first flight to see Uncle Coco, visiting Snake Discovery Zoo because he and Peyton loved snakes and lizards, to camping with friends. They always had a good time. Ryan had many great friends in his life. Anyone he met was called a friend! Michael Parent was his best, long-life friend. Ryan will be greatly missed, but loved and never forgotten! Fly high little king!
A celebration of Ryan’s life will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 4 pm to 6 pm at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main Street, Old Town, Maine. All are welcome to join the family after at Laurie and Charlie’s house at 108 Bowdoin Avenue, Old Town.
