Robert George Albertson

Winterport and Old Town - Born on January 19, 1935, in Ottumwa, Iowa, Robert George 'Bob' Albertson went home to his creator May 6, 2017, in his sleep after a short period of illness. He was the son of Recil Ace Albertson and Ruth Lillian Albertson. Bob was predeceased by his loving wife, Gloria Albertson and his sister, Ruth, formerly of California. He is survived by his loving siblings, Roberta, Rochelle and Recil; his children, Robert, Rosa and Ravonna; his stepchildren, Joe, Pam, Sandy and Shawn; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Bob grew up in Stillwater and Old Town area, and worked with his hands all his life for his family. He also served for his country in the US Army. His love of travel brought him across the country and along many backroads just to see where they went or to his favorite camping, fishing spot or breakfast nook, especially Pat's Pizza. He worked for many years at the University of Maine Orono Campus and gained lifelong friends along the way. He was known for his humor and fierce protection of family and the underdog. He will be forever missed by all who were touched by his life and his love of life. Daddy, remember the sunsets and rest until one day we see you again.
