Michael D Sapiel Sr.

INDIAN ISLAND—Michael Sapiel Sr., 69, died unexpectyedly April 21, 2020 at his residence following a long battle with COPD and CHF. He was born March 4, 1951 a son of Joseph and Juanita (Cote) Sapiel.

Michael was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting, fishing, camping, artifacting, or anything to do with being on the river.

He is survived by his children Michelle Sanborn of Indian Island and her four children Ashley, Garrett, Lakota and Danielle; Michael Sapiel Jr and his significant other Tracy Robbins of Argyle and their three children Brandon, Joe and Aliya; Marcy Alcantara of Old Town and her three children Makayla, Sheylee and Cheyanne; Sandy Sapiel of Indian Island and her children Irving and Drake; two greta grandchildren Kendal and Aiden; his ex-wife and longtime friend Sheila Sapiel of Indian Island; his dog Dexi; siblings Joe, Dwight, Leon, Wayne, Everette, Jim, Vicky, Debbie, and Jean. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother Richard.

The family would like to thank the medical staff, friends and family who helped their father along the way.

Due to the current pandemic, a celebration of life and burial will be announced at a later date.
