Bradley—Mary A. Guay, 77, passed away peacefully with family by her side November 15, 2016 at an Orono health care facility. She was born July 10, 1939 in Old Town a daughter of Paul P. and Mary L. (Palmer) Cyr.
Mary enjoyed her beautiful flower gardens, cooking, and painting, in her younger years she enjoyed fishing and camping. She was active with her children and served as den mother for cub scouts, belonged to the Old Town Art Society, and was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church.
She is survived by 3 children Stephen Guay and his wife Linda of Bradley, Lisa Burton and her husband Michael of Old Town, Joseph Guay of Milford; 5 grandchildren Amanda Guay, Melanie Jones, Jamie Touhill, Trisha Townsend, and Valerie Corey; five great grandchildren; two brothers Richard Cyr and his wife Ethel of Milford, Roger Cyr and his wife Vam of Levant, and a sister Clara Hokinson and her husband Neal of Berwick; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Martel in 2009, two brothers Patrick and James “Red” Cyr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM Friday at Parish of the Resurrection, Holy Family Church, Old Town where a reception in the church hall will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Ann’s Building Fund Parish of the Resurrection 429 Main St Old Town
