Marie Jeannette Drinkwater

For those of you who knew Marie, you know she lived for her husband and children. She was a stay-at-home Mom who was always there for her family. She loved to sing and dance to country music, especially with her grandchildren. She had the cutest little face and most loving eyes. She enjoyed getting compliments on her cooking and was known to everyone for her fudge and cheesecake. She had an infectious laugh and enjoyed making other people laugh. Throughout her life she enjoyed snowmobiling, long Sunday rides, dancing at the Elks club, and collecting Happy Meal toys to give to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also was instrumental in taking care of the family trucking business. She tried her best to stay here with us and was a "tough cookie" though each day she was suffering with pain. We rejoice knowing she is in heaven with her sister, brothers, parents, and other loved ones who have gone before her. They must all be laughing and having a good time dancing to Mom's favorite country song "Boot Scootin Boogie". We will all be together again Mom when we get to heaven. Until then, we will never stop loving you, thinking of you, and missing you.

Marie was predeceased by her parents Octave Bilodeau and Jeanne Lambert Bilodeau, her sister Madeline Paquin Houle, brothers Raymond and Henry Bilodeau all of Leominster, MA. She is survived by her husband of 65 years Thomas H. Drinkwater of Milford, her daughters Deborah Roy, her husband (Adrien Joe) of Orrington, Doreen Chase, her husband Phil of Stetson, Rhonda Stuart, her husband Preston of Red Bluff, CA, Laura Drinkwater and her companion Roy L'italien of Auburn, and son Thomas Drinkwater, Jr. of Milford. Also, many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

The Family would like to give special thanks to all the people who helped Marie during her final months, especially the staff at Westgate Manor.

A graveside service will be held Monday, October 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Lawndale Cemetery, Stillwater Ave., Old Town.
