Lorraine was born in Old Town, July 25, 1928, to Harold and Elna Littlefield. She married Wally Howe on September 10, 1946, and they had three children.
Lorraine grew up on her great-grandmother's farm in Greenfield. It was there she met the love of her life, Wally, at age 14. He worked summers on the farm, and they fell in love. She was a graduate of Higgins Classical Preparatory School in Charleston, and attended Beal's Business School.
Lorraine enjoyed summers at Pushaw Lake, travels with her husband, reading novels, movies, and dinners at Pepino's with her best friend, Tiffany Tibbits; as well as playing with her Yorkies, Mary Louise and Katie.
Lorraine is survived by her daughters, Kelly Ann Wintle of Hermon, and Linda Ella Rambow and her husband, Bill, of Mystic, CT; her special and best friend, Tiffany Tibbits and Jeannie Delrymple. Special thanks to Lauren Tibbits for all the love and care she gave to our mother, as well as many thanks to St. Joseph's Hospice, especially Paul, Miles, Marilynn, and Lynn. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Old Town Animal Orphanage and the American Cancer Society.
