OLD TOWN - John Henry Cavanaugh, 74, died November 9, 2014 at a Bangor hospital. He was born September 19, 1940 in Milford a son of James and Lucretia (Ramsey) Cavanaugh.John enjoyed the outdoors and loved to brook fish. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following the New York Giants and college basketball especially the tournament season. He was employed for many years at Owen Illinois and the Old Town Paper Mill and most recently at the Hope House in Bangor. He is survived by his partner, Janet Morgan of Old Town; four children, Terry Paul and her husband, John of Old Town; David Cavanaugh and his wife, Sandra, Lisa Dionne and her husband, Scott, and Jackie Coffin and her husband, Donnie, all of Milford; the mother of his children, Theresa Cavanaugh; Janet's four children, Deborah Leland and her husband, Butch, Rhonda Foster and her husband, Tim, Valerie King and her husband, Scott, and Warren Morgan and his wife, Nicole, all of Old Town; 15 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren with a great-granddaughter due February 2015. He was predeceased by a son, Patrick Cavanaugh, and brother, James Cavanaugh.A celebration of his life will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Orono United Methodist Church with Rev.
