OLD TOWN—Joan M. St. Louis, 76, died September 14, 2019 at a Bangor hospital. She was born June 26, 1943 in Brookton, a daughter of proud parents George and Muriel (Knights) Gulliver.
Joan was a lifelong resident of the Old Town/ Milford area. She was a hardworking, single mom, and when life knocked her down, she got right back up again. She was employed at St. Joseph hospital for 36 years in the purchasing department. Joan cherished time with her special friend Kay Thurston; the two of them were inseparable. She loved their time perfecting their flower beds and keeping the yard and lawn manicured to the extreme. She definitely had a green thumb. She enjoyed trips to the coast. Family time was very important to Joan and she relished time spent at family gatherings, especially the family Christmas parties and often could not wait until the following year’s party. Her fresh baked pies will be greatly missed and difficult to replace.
