He was captain of the cross country team, and was a state champion Golden Gloves boxer. He attended DeVrie University, studying engineering with a focus in electronics. He owned and operated an electronics repair shop in Delaware for nine years. He proudly served in the United States Air Force as a SSGT from 1951-1955. He enjoyed traveling. He will be remembered for his amazing personality, sense of humor, and he being the life of the party.
He is survived by three daughters Lori Dana of Bangor; Kelly Demmons and her husband Butch of Milford; and Jamie Beaulieu and husband Michael of Roanoke, VA; five grandchildren Dalaylun Demmons of Milford, Katherine Smith of Roanoke, VA, David Smith, Christopher Smith, and Joshua Smith all of Daytona, FL; sister Velma Jones and her husband Ronald of Enterprise, AL; many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call 6-8PM Sunday at the Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main S. Old Town. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AMMonday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Indian Island. Burial will be Tuesday at 11AM at Tribal Cemetery.
