Ida Mae Niles, 85 of Old Town, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 3, 2018. Ida was born September 22, 1932 in Hudson Maine the daughter of Benjamin F. Bubar and Sarah E. (Rogers) Bubar. She was the youngest of 15 children. Ida also lived in Fort Fairfield on her family farm where she met the love of her life Jerry Niles, who was stationed at Loring AFB. They married and relocated to Orono where they raised 8 children. Ida was a devoted Christian, Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She was a master checker player. She loved playing bingo, telling stories of her child hood, playing jokes on people and music. She couldn't sit still if a snappy tune was playing. She was predeceased by her loving husband Jerome Ira Niles, her parents Benjamin and Sarah, sisters and brothers: Margret, Ethel, Pauline, Mary, Richard, Beatrice, Eska, Joseph, Ransford, Fred, Luenett, Robert and Bernice. She is survived by her 8 children; Linda Lufkin of Kenduskeag, Jerome I. Niles, Jr. and his wife Janice of Milford, Duanne Niles and his wife Lisa of Old Town; Pauline Carter and her husband Brian of Old Town; Juliette Moleon and her husband Robert of Old Town; Evelyn Niles and her husband Scott Cram of Old Town; Sarah Niles and her partner Jon Lugdon of Bradley; and Leon Niles and his partner Karen Mason of Argyle . Grandchildren; Lester, Scott, Robert, Julie, Edward, John, Adam, Matthew, Scott, Greg, Sherri, Jennifer, Britney, David, Bradford, Megan, Scott, Olivia, Ruban, Great / Great Grandchildren: Nicole, Navaeh, Nathan, Ben, Demetrius, Alexis, Trever, Lilly, Connor, Millie, Scilla Her brother Edward Bubar of Bradford, special Nephew Johnny Walker of Bradley, several nieces and nephews. Internment in the spring at Lawndale Cemetary.
