OLD TOWN AND JUPITER, FLA. - Dale Kimball, 67, passed away December 24, 2015, at his Florida home. He was born November 18, 1948, in Bangor, a son of Harold and Agnes (Chesley) Kimball. Dale grew up in Old Town and graduated from Old Town High School, class of 1967. He served in the U.S. Navy 1968-1972 aboard the USS Independence out of Norfolk, VA. Upon returning to Old Town, he worked for many years for Bangor Hydro Electric Company. He was a member of the Old Town Elks Lodge #1287 and was active in coaching baseball, softball and hockey prior to retiring to Florida. Dale is survived by two sons, Troy Kimball and his girlfriend, Devin Levesque, of Old Town; Troy's children, Corey and Kailee, and their mother, Melanie Kimball; and Travis Kimball and his wife, Niele, of Jupiter, FL, and their children, Brendan and Bianca; brothers, Vinal of Melbourne, FL, and Kenneth and his wife, Pamela, of Old Town; sister, Beverly Free of Bradley; sisters-in-law, Nona Kimball of Wallingford, CT, and Elizabeth Kimball of Milford; the mother of his children, Sharon Kimball of Old Town; several nieces, nephews and good friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two bothers, Elwood and Malcolm; and sisters, Althea, Donna, Linda, Carol Jean and Joyce. A celebration of his life will be held 5-7 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2016, at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. Spring interment with military honors will be at Lawndale Cemetery, Old Town.
