OTIS—Bonnie Lou Ann (Russell) Jipson, 70 died peacefully August 27, 2015 at her home surrounded by family. She was born February 11, 1945 in Old Town and grew up on French Island, a daughter of Wilfred and Celia (Roy) Russell.
Bonnie was an extremely dedicated and devoted wife, mother, friend, and volunteer. She always put the needs of others first. She will be remembered as a hard worker and enjoyed her volunteer work with AARP doing tax returns. She believed in, and wants to be remembered for, helping others when she could make their lives easier. She was an inspiring example of someone who truly received great joy by “Paying it Forward” . Throughout her life she enjoyed cooking, camping, gardening, antiquing, volunteering, going for long rides and spending time with family. To honor and celebrate Bonnie’s Life, she and her family would like everyone to remember: love is patient, love is kind, and more importantly true love never ends.
She is survived by her forever love, Archie D. Jipson of Otis who have shared 53 years of marriage; children daughter Tammy Jipson of Otis, sons Archie D. Jipson Jr of Sanford, FL, Peter Jipson and his wife Vicki of Surry, Eric Jipson of Bangor; grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters Dawn Trembley and her husband Rand of Old Town, Susan Batchelder of Greenbush, Anne King and her husband Bob of Hermon, Debbie Hamm and her husband Jim of Alton, brothers Steve Russell of Alton and Charlie Russel and his wife Jane of Alaska; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father Wilfred “Bill” Russell, mother Celia “Sis” (Roy) Russell Sloan, sister Audrey (Russell) Simon, brother-in-law Robert “Bert” Simon.
Friends may call 3-6PM Sunday at the Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM Monday at Parish of the Resurrection, Holy Family Church, Old Town, where a luncheon will follow at the Parish Hall.
