Old Town, ME. - Beverly Mary (Dube) Therrien, 81, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022 at a local Naples, Florida hospital. Beverly was born to the late Gerald and Juliet (Jamm) Dube on September 11, 1940 in Bangor, ME.
She was raised on French Island in Old Town, a close knit caring community where she and her best friend Mary Beaulieu made many friends and cherished memories. Beverly graduated from Old Town High School, class of 1958 where she was a head cheerleader and directed the drill team at local parades. Beverly loved to dance and if there was music playing - she was moving! After high school she worked as a switch board operator at the shoe shop in Old Town and a bookkeeper at local businesses.
Beverly met the love of her live, Wayne Therrien, in high school and upon Graduation Wayne left for the Army and wrote to his love almost every day. When he returned they married on September 10, 1960 and started a family shortly there after. Her strong faith and beliefs and steadfast love were apparent when bringing up her three boys, David, Kenny and Garry.
She was a caring individual of quiet strength and helped to care for her father’s sister, Anita Dube for many years. She volunteered her time and caring spirit for many hours at EMMC in the registration department where she met many friends and helped many souls. She served as the President of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary in Old Town.
Beverly loved decorating her home, camp and condo in Florida. She and Wayne found solace at camp on Schoodic Lake in Milo, Me in the summers and enjoyed the sun in the winter months at their condo in Naples Fl. She was very particular about how she dressed and took pride in looking her best for the season or occasion. Her laughter, spunk and sense of humor will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Please find peace with knowing she is dancing “full time” in Heaven with her Lord and Savior.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Wayne A. Therrien, sons; David and his wife Cindy, of Milford; Kenny and his wife Lisa, of Eddington and Garry of Levant; along with two grandchildren; Ryan of Milford and Justin along with his partner, Cheryl Towle of Old Town; one brother, Francis and wife Anne, brother-in-law Eddie Oakes, along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her three sisters, Rose Simpkins, Joan Cote, Dorothy Landry, and Nancy Oakes.
