Orono – Beverly A. Lugdon, 86, passed away after a brief illness on October 8, 2023, at Eastside Rehab in Bangor. Beverly was born in Calais, ME on June 21, 1937, the daughter of John and Beatrice (Lilley) Lyons.
Beverly worked as a retail clerk for a few years, but as life would have it, she became a fulltime mom raising her six children.
Beverly and her husband, Owen (Manny) enjoyed their time together. They loved to play bingo, go camping and they enjoyed many late nights around the campfire with friends and family. She was also member of the Old Town Elks BPOE #1287, where she enjoyed playing cribbage with the boys.
Beverly is survived by her children, Leon R. Farrar Jr. of Brownville, Lawrence C. Farrar of Hartford, CT, Leslie P. Farrar and wife Patti of Greenbush, Lance A. Farrar and wife Mary of Brownville, Richard J. Farrar and wife Lisa of Old Town, Christopher O. Lugdon and his significant other, Nicki Bartlett of Orono; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; her sister, Jackie Testori of Manchester, CT; her first cousin whom she lived side by side as kids, Lorraine Bailey of Brookton; her close friends, Cynthia and Michele Nason, Sylvia Polchies and Barbara Bassett. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Owen (Manny) Lugdon; siblings, John Lyons Jr., Nadine Jones and Marilyn Fish.
Friends and family may call on Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 10-11 AM at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, ME. A celebration of life will take place at 11AM at the funeral home. Immediately following the celebration of Beverly’s life, interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, 170 Bennoch Rd., Orono, ME.
