OLD TOWN - Audrey J. Howe, 79, now walks with Christ our Savior and sings with the Angels in Heaven, October 12, 2014 at a Bangor hospital. She was born December 21, 1934 in Olamon, ME, a daughter of Warren T. and Alice V. (Cox) Burr.Audrey was a faithful Christian and enjoyed attending Twin Cities Baptist Church. Her faith was evident in her the songs that she wrote and sang, and often she would share her faith through her music. She was a Real Estate agent in the Bangor area for many years, and operated her own firm, Acres Away Real Estate. In her younger years she was employed as a phone operator and later in life worked in health care. She was devoted to her family and loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She is survived by 3 children, Steven Howe and his wife, Kelly, Gary Howe and his wife, Cindi of Bangor, and Karen Noyes and her husband, Michael of Old Town; two Grandchildren, Kala Goplerud and her husband, Matt of Old Town and Brandon Noyes of Old Town; two great-grandchildren, Kason and Jaxon Goplerud; two brothers, Russell Burr of CT and Ronald Burr and his wife, Vivian of TN; two sisters, Arlene Brissette of CT and Betty Ann Dionne and her husband, Wayne of Old Town; special friend, Brenda Arnold of Bangor; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Esther Hamel.The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at DiVita dialysis unit, the EMMC ICU and Stillwater Health Care for the kindness and compassion they had for Audrey and the family. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, where a funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be at Lawndale Cemetery, Old Town. Following the graveside services, all are invited to the Twin City Baptist Church, 559 No. Main St., Brewer, for a light luncheon and continued fellowship.
