Tony was a master carpenter who worked in construction and roofing for nearly 23 years. Tony loved to go fishing and camping; go-karting and playing mini golf with his family. He was a doting father to his three children. He loved spending time playing games with his kids and all of his nieces and nephews. Tony was a loving son and very family-oriented, he would drop anything if one of his children or any other family member needed help. He was a dependable friend and a hardworker; he will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
Tony is survived by his beloved children, Tyrell Mason Monroe, Anthony "AJ" Nelson Monroe Jr., and Callie Carol Ann Monroe. He is also survived by his loving mother, Barbara Monroe; sisters, Amanda Staddon and her husband, Tim, Teresa Boucher, and Deborah Howe; and special nieces and nephews, Taylor Grimes, Bret Monroe and his son, Haydain-Kayl, Jonathan Mock and Keira Hall. Tony will also be missed by many other nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family, as well as many dear and special friends.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Parish of the Resurrection, Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Kyle Doustou officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to share in conversation and refreshments in the Fellowship Hall following the service.
