Old Town- Albert J. Martin, 87, died May 2, 2013 at a Bangor hospital following a brief illness. He was born November 2, 1925 in Old Town a son of L. Forest and Leona Mary (Landry) Martin.
He was employed at Old Town Shoe and at Old Town Fuel for many years. He enjoyed family time and was the family fix it man. He enjoyed puttering around the house. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.
He is survived by his wife Mary of Old Town; three sons Thomas Martin of Bradley, John Martin and and his wife Susan of Islip, NY, James Martin of Glenburn; two daughters Brenda Hanson and her husband Mark of Woolwich and Barbara Trussell and her husband Michael of Old Town; 6 grandchildren Michelle Lozier and her husband Ronald, Robert Martin and his wife Danielle, Juliann Martin, Marsha Libby and her husband Art, Danny Shaw, Zoie Trussell; 5 great grandchildren Kayla and Kody Walker, Ethan Lozier, Tyler and Kaitlyn Libby, and a great grandson Zachary due in 2 weeks and a sister Dorothy Martin of Old Town; and sister-in-law Shirley Martin; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers Leo F. Martin Jr., Robert Martin Reginald Martin ,a sister Odina Robichaud; a grandson Brandon Shaw.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM Monday at Parish of the Resurrection Holy Family Church, Old Town. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Orono. Immediately following services at the cemetery, all are invited to return to the Holy Family Parish Hall for a light luncheon and continued fellowship.
