Born in Farmington, CT, he is the son of Dennis and Frances Kane. He graduated Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a Masters of Business Administration in Aviation and a Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. He used these degrees to further his career at RTX businesses where he was employed for over 15 years.
Inspired by his father, Tyler picked up his lifelong hobby of golf at the age of 10. Tyler loved to reflect on the days of his youth when he spent full days on the golf course. Tyler played for Post University and continued his passion throughout his life. He looked forward to playing with friends in tournaments and was a founding member of the Tuesday night golf league that he played in over the summer. Most recently, Tyler could be seen playing on his golf simulator into the night and promised that he would always win “closest to the pin.”
Tyler enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and always ensured that everyone was having a good time. He had a gift for connecting with all different people, with a genuine desire to learn more about those in his life. He was known to his friends as honest and unfiltered, but always with their best interest at the forefront. He also had a knack for making the room feel a little lighter and more carefree. If you were truly lucky, Tyler would test out his own jokes on you.
Tyler was never one to remain complacent. Whether it was thinking of new ways to expand his career, learning new hobbies, such as kayaking and fishing, or completing new projects, Tyler always kept busy. Recently, he focused on house improvements, whether it was installing flooring, completing woodworking projects, building a swing set, you name it – Tyler was ready to tackle it. He took pride in all of his work, and he always did a wonderful job.
Tyler had the unique ability to conceptualize and truly understand the importance of life. This was apparent in the genuine way Tyler showed up as a partner, a father, a son, and a friend.
In 2019, Tyler met his future wife, Jennifer E. (Czarnowski) Kane. They married in 2021 and created a life together in Old Saybrook, CT with their two dogs, Hampton and Brooke. One could not have asked for a better partner or best friend. In May 2022, they welcomed their first daughter, Kaia G. Kane, and shortly thereafter, in December 2023, their second baby girl, Olivia S. Kane. Tyler was the absolute best father to his two little babies. Kaia was and is such a Dada’s girl and would constantly look to Tyler to make her giggle. Olivia would give her daddy the biggest smile, with Tyler returning the gesture with the biggest, cheesiest grin back. He loved his girls beyond belief. Seeing his girls happy made his day brighter and he looked forward to each day they shared together.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Kane, daughters, Kaia Kane and Olivia Kane, his father, Dennis Kane, his sister, Melanie Campbell, and his nephew, Michael Campbell. He was predeceased by his mother, Frances Kane.
Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life Ceremony on Saturday, June 8, 2024. Speeches will be held from 4:30 to 5:30 pm at the Southington Country Club at 150 Savage Street, Plantsville, Connecticut followed by a reception.
