Susan Elizabeth Izzo

Susan C. Izzo age 53, wife of Donald Izzo of Westbrook, CT passed away unexpectedly on Saturday January 22, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born in New Haven, CT on January 12, 1969 to Martha Chambers Kaletsky.

She attended Briarwood College in their paralegal program, graduated and worked for various law firms in Connecticut. Susan married the love of her life and best friend, Donald in 2003 and was a devoted wife and mother along with her entire family. She cherished the time spent with them as well as vacationing to Walt Disney World and local road trips through the northeast with her Donald and children. Her culinary dishes and desserts were sought out at holidays and other special events.

For the last eight years she was employed by Kinnare Insurance in Guilford, CT as their administrative secretary and office manager. Susan was very active in the Westbrook School District with her children's activities affiliated with the PTO, band and theater groups. For many years Susan was affiliated with Donna & Cathy's Dance Center teaching children dance and many other responsibilities. Susan was affiliated with Westbrook Emergency Management and the American Red Cross serving in various disaster volunteer positions.

In addition to her husband, Susan is survived and will be dearly missed by her daughter Maggie and son Matthew; mother Martha Chambers Kaletsky and husband Noel Kaletsky along with her adopted father Ronald F. Chambers; sister Jennifer (Chambers) Panza and Robert Panza; sister Casey (Chambers) DeFeo and Nicholas DeFeo; sister Amy (Chambers) David David; along with special nieces Catherine and Lillian and special nephews Cameron, Jackson, Kayden, and Josh.

Memorial services are scheduled for Sunday January 30, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm in the Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd., Old Saybrook. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to her Go Fund Me. https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-for-the-izzo-family.
