Paul was born on September 5, 1967 in Prague, Czech Republic, he moved to the states at a young age. He is survived by his beloved wife, Shevaun Ward, Mother Miluse Manhal , deceased Pavel Manhal ,his sister Michelle Wytas, Fiancé Jason Torrance and nephews Sam Wytas & Nathan Wytas ,former brother in law Steve Wytas and his loving family in Czech Republic.
In our hearts Paul was one of a kind. He was knowledgeable about so many things. He was fun loving and goofy, serious when needed and annoying when he wanted to be "Put me in coach". He was protective and vulnerable and all around just a great guy who you just couldn't help but love. He was taken from us too soon. He had so much more to give.
His passion was fishing, any chance he had to be on boat fishing, he was there. He loved being by the water. He worked at the same Marina for over 30 years and developed great friendships with his colleagues and boat owners. He played softball for many years for Andriana's then the Monkey Farm. On any given day you could find him after work either at the American Legion or VFW playing Keno telling the bartender ”Put me in coach". He just loved hanging out with his family and friends that meant the most to him. People say to us, Sorry for your loss but it’s everyone’s loss who knew him.
He will always be in hearts and greatly missed.
We like to thank the Old Saybrook Police Department for their quick medical response and Yale Cardiac ICU for all they did for him and the support they gave us.
Thank you for all the prayers and support that were given to us during this time. We can never tell you how much we needed it and appreciated it.
Calling hours for Paul will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd, Old Saybrook, Connecticut 06475.
