Patricia “Babe” Pearson, 72, of Old Saybrook, beloved wife of Terry Pearson passed away on Tuesday, March 30 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. Born on October 5, 1948 she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Marjorie Allard La Castro.
Pat was a graduate of Old Saybrook H.S Class of 1966, where she was a scholar athlete and outstanding in basketball, softball and field hockey. She worked in the accounting department at Fortune Plastics in Old Saybrook for 37 years. Pat played in women’s softball leagues and dart leagues. Patricia loved cooking and enjoy the outdoors, especially walks down to the shore looking for sea glass. Most of all she loved her family.
Besides her husband Terry of 31 years, she is survived by her brother John La Castro of Old Saybrook, her nephew Shannon (Claire) Dunn of Guilford and their children Oliver, Liam and Maeve. Cousins John (Deborah) DeCristoforo and their son Daniel of Old Saybrook, Sal DeCristoforo of Westbrook, James (Karen) DeCristoforo of OR, William (Beth) Turner of Killingworth and their son Jonathan and Elizabeth Kopp of FL, sister in law, Cindy Turpin of Sylva, NC. She was predeceased by brother in law, Dennis Pearson and Aunt and Uncle Alice and Jake Allard
Calling hours will be on Wednesday, April 7 from 4 to 7 PM at the Swan Funeral Home 1224 Boston Post Rd. Old Saybrook, CT. The family request casual attire be worn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to American Lung Association www.action.lung.org.
