Marian Falvey

Marian (McPartland) Falvey, 95, of Old Saybrook, CT passed away November 30, 2016. She was the wife of the late Cornelius J Falvey Sr. Marian was born on September 9, 1921 in Fall River, MA to the late Henry McPartland Sr and Mary (Brennan) McPartland. Marian was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to travel and got to see many places with her daughter and son-in-law. Marian worked for 20 years as a gage inspector at Pratt & Whitney retiring in 1989. Marian also graduated from Middlesex Community College at the age of 73 and took her first hot air balloon ride as a graduation present from her children. Marian is survived by her children: Cornelius J Falvey Jr.; Thomas E (Sheree) Falvey; Patrick (Janice) Falvey; John (MaryAnn) Falvey and Ann (Harold) Condon. Three grandsons: Jeffrey Falvey, Michael and Daniel Condon, Thomas F Falvey and a great-grandson, Thomas Falvey and many nieces and nephews in Fall River and Rhode Island. She was also predeceased by a brother, Henry McPartland, a sister, Jane McPartland, and her grandson, Brennan Falvey. The family would like to thank the CNAs,nurses and staff at Gladeview Health Care Center for their compassion and care giving during her last several weeks.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday December 6th from 9-10:30am at Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd., Old Saybrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday December 6th at 11am in St. John Church, Main St., Old Saybrook. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the charity of your choice.
