Evelyn M Cummings

Evelyn M. Cummings, 97 of Westbrook passed away unexpectedly Friday September 30, 2011. She was born in Rockland, ME on July 16, 1914. Evelyn worked for the Jetty Restaurant in Westbrook for fifteen years, leaving to become a childcare worker at Connecticut Valley Hospital in Middletown caring for troubled youths, retiring after eleven years of service. She then signed on with Structural Graphics of Essex, working from home for ten years. She leaves behind a son, Douglas Mosher and his wife Janet of Essex, and two daughters, Janice Copeland of Westbrook, and Jean Bishop and her husband Dennis also of Westbrook. Evelyn or "Nanny" as she was known by those who loved her, is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 36 great-great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by a daughter Judith Menghi, and three sons, George Cummings and Richard and Donald Mosher.
