Dianne G. Warley

The Rev. Dianne Goodwin Warley passed away on May 5 at Connecticut Hospice. Raised in Braintree, MA, she moved to North Haven, CT in 1958 when her father Charles A. Goodwin took a new position with the New Haven Railroad. She married Edward R. Warley, Jr. of West Haven in 1964, and they moved to Old Saybrook, CT in 1970. A devoted volunteer at Prison Fellowship and active participant in the Storybook Project, she helped record incarcerated mothers reading books to give to their children. She was ordained a Deacon in the Episcopal Church in 2000. She is survived by her husband; son Ted Warley and Mary Warley, and grandchildren Madeline M. Warley and Charlie E. Warley; son Christopher Warley and Rosanne Currarino; sister Carol Carson and Robert Carson, Jr.; nephew Robert Carson, 3rd and Tawny Ritchie; niece Donna Carson and Bob Wronski; sister-in-law Barbara Goodwin, nephew Matt Goodwin and MK Goodwin, niece Courtney Goodwin; and many cousins and friends.

Service will on May 19, 2023 at 11am at Grace Episcopal Church, 336 Main St. in Old Saybrook. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation to a charity important to you.
