

He was born on November 12, 1932, in Manchester,Ct. the son of the late Frank E. Walden and Gertrude Metcalf Walden.
He was the widower of the late Margaret Korineck Walden. Margaret and William resided in East Haddam for 50 years. Where they raised 4 children who survive him.
Mr. Walden was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the US Army 25th Infantry. He retired from the Connecticut DOT Highway Dept. after 37 years of employment, at the Old Saybrook Garage. He was an avid Bowler at Saybrook Bowl, loved bowling in leagues with his wife and friends. He loved gardening with his Dad growing veggies.
He is survived by his children William Walden, Jr.and his wife June, of East Lyme and;Valerie Kiernan and husband Mike of Haynesville, ME; Thomas Walden and his wife Brenda of Montville and Teresa Terrel and her husband Pete of Griswold.and his brother Larry Dayette of Deep River; seven grandchildren William Walden, III, Lyle Walden, Michael Terrel, Marianne Pierce and her husband Jon, Frank and Cindy Walden and Robert Terrel. We can cannot forget William leaving his beloved dog "Toby"
