She was born on November 19, 1914, in Central Falls, RI, the only child of John Joseph Connors and Ada Jane Thompson Connors. She was raised in Mystic and graduated from Fitch High School. She also graduated from Becker College in Worcester.
Mrs. Lacey was the widow of Ernest Ralph Lacey. They were married in New London on June 29, 1940.
She was formerly employed as the secretary for Electric Boat President O. P. Robinson and was employed for 20 years as the secretary for the president at Culmore Realty in Falls Church, VA. Mrs. Lacey enjoyed needlepoint, crossword puzzles and bird watching.
She is survived by her daughter Ann Evans and her husband Doug of Lyme; her son William Ralph Lacey and his wife Beth of Oxford, MD; her grandchildren Michael Teresa Lacey Weber and her husband Greg of Henderson, NV; Christopher Douglas Evans of Lyme; Elizabeth Evans Esterley and her husband Britt of Uncasville; Keisha Lacey Sprenkle and her husband Jeremy of Santa Rosa, FL; her great grandsons Cody and Jake Sprenkle; her daughter-in-law Eilene Best Lacey of Jupiter, FL. In addition to her husband she was also predeceased by her son John Michael Lacey.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Apple Rehab for the thoughtful care that was given to their mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
