Wendy was a loving wife & mother, a devoted aunt, a caring sister & friend. She loved being a mother & shared one son, Colton, with her husband Kyle. Wendy received her Biology Degree from Trevecca University, and she worked 17 years at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in oncology & IT departments. Later, her creativity & entrepreneurial spirit led her to self-employment. Wendy was also a tireless volunteer of her time, love & resources for those in need.
An avid reader, she also enjoyed exercising, gardening, spending time with her cats & dogs, cooking for her family & friends & of course, sharing a good story! Her positive high energy, quick wit & warm smile will be missed by many. Wendy led by example, hers was a life well-lived. Wendy is survived by her father Phil Smith, her husband Richard Kyle Reid, her son Colton Ray Reid, her sister Patricia Wahl (Peter), and her niece Lila Wahl.
A visitation for Wendy will be held Sunday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Monday from 12 pm till service at Hermitage Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, . A celebration of life will occur Monday, February 14, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Hermitage Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens. Interment to follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens with Blake Reid, Steven Helton, Art Frensley, Eddie Stenson, Andy Austin and Mike Lampert serving as pallbearers.
