Scott Barger was born in Melrose Park, Illinois and passed away at the age of 55 in
Hermitage, Tennessee.
Scott is survived by his three beautiful daughters, Hannah Barger, Amanda Barger and emma Barger all of Old Hickory, TN; mother, Kathleen Barger of Old Hickory, TN; brother Kent (Tiffiny) Barger of Old Hickory, TN; sister Kelli (russell) Hess of Hermitage, TN; multiple Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Barger; Paternal Grandparents, Leslie and Adeline Barhger; and Maternal Grandparents, Frieno and Mary Faoro.
Scott lived his early life in Grand Rapids, MI., attending Northview Public School where he wrestled in high school. At the age of 17, the family relocated to Old Hickory, TN. and attended Mt. Juliet High School. He ,moved to Dalton, IL and resided with his maternal grandparents where he learned the trade of carpentry and construction. Scott was a talented carpenter in which he later traveled the country for many years completing the woodwork for stores such as Bath and Body works, Victoria's Secret and restoration Hardware to name a few. While traveling with his employers, he was superintendent and mentor to others coming up in the field. Scott could take a vision in his head of a beautiful piece of wood furniture and create the work or art with no drawings, yet it all came together perfectly.
Through his work around the country, he made life-long friends and with the same passion in carpentry, construction field as well as outside of it. scott lived life on his terms. He was a head strong, passionate, talented, person who had a strong heart for his girls, family and friends. If he could do something to help someone, he would. Scott's girls were is world, pride and joy! He was always happy to tell someone about them and their accomplishment.
The family gathering and visitation will start at 1:00PM at the Hermitage Funeral Home 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN followed by the Celebration of Life service at 2:00PM on Friday, April 26, 2024, officiated by Pastor Rick Roberts, of St. John's Lutheran Church in Donelson, TN. Scott will be laid to rest at the Hermitage Memorial Gardens,Old Hickory, TN.
