SWANDAL, Savannah Hope age 11 of Mt. Juliet, TN gained her angel wings on March 21, 2011 after a courageous 5-year battle against cancer. She was born on Feb. 23, 2000 in Hermitage, TN. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Robin and Bruce Landes; father and stepmother, John and Taunya Swandal; siblings Luke Landes, Joey Fishbeck and Emma Swandal; grandparents, Robert and Lennette Beasley of Germantown, TN, Gary and Peggy Landes of Greeneville, TN, Bill and Paula Gates of Germantown, TN, Ron and Saundra Baxter of Alexandria, TN; great-grandmothers, Doris Beasley of Germantown, TN, Lucille Pick of Staunton, VA, Polly Dart of Memphis, TN; aunts and uncles, Lindsay Beasley of Plano, TX, Bart and Vicki Landes of London, OH, Shari and Bobby Collier of Olathe, KS, Deanna and Tom Chamberlain of Memphis, TN, Cameron Gates of Helena, AR, Lake Gates of Memphis, TN, March and Brett Mims of Memphis, TN, Tressa and Chad Flores of Watertown, TN and many other cousins and family members. She is preceded in death by grandparents, Preston Dart of Memphis, TN and Dorothy and Ed Hunt of Livingston, MT. Although Savannah’s life on earth was short, she was a true inspiration to people near and far. Her amazingly positive attitude, sweet spirit, infectious smile, captivating blue eyes, witty sense of humor and bubbly personality quickly captured the hearts of many and changed lives forever. She loved spending time with her family and friends, listening to music, singing and dancing, going to the beach, anything having to do with fashion, playing games, enjoying the outdoors, peace signs and the colors purple and lime green. She was a 5th grade student at Mt. Juliet Elementary and even though she was unable to attend school on a regular basis, she worked very hard to remain on the honor roll. She was a member of Hermitage United Methodist Church where she served as an acolyte. She will always be greatly loved by her family, friends, acquaintances and all whose lives were touched by her. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2011 at Hermitage United Methodist Church 205 Belinda Dr. Hermitage, TN 37076, with Rev. Allen Black and Rev. Chris Seifert officiating. Visitation will also take place at the church on Friday from 3-8 p.m. and 2 hours prior to the service on Saturday.
