Roger Whitman King III

He graduated from Cumberland High School in 1969 and retired from Lawter International in 2014. He was a member of the Old Hickory Nazarene Church, loved Alabama football and was a Nashville Predator season ticket holder since day one. He coached Smyrna Youth Football for 31 years.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents; his father and mother in law Lawrence and Mildred Ruth Knies; and his daughter in law Ashton King.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Donna King; daughters Tammy (Pavel) Kurek and Tiffany (Scott) Stevens; sons Josh King and Gary King; sister Cindy (Jerry) Williams; grandchildren Carlieann Hardy, Gracie Stevens, Makayla King, Priscilla King, and Hallee (Chad) Gray; great granddaughter Presley Gray and numerous brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Rick Veal, Mark Dye, Mike Allen, Craig Taylor, Brent Higdon, Camden Underwood, Mark Rader, and Tyler Griffin.

A visitation will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hermitage Funeral Home followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
