He was born on May 7, 1925, in Smith County, Tennessee, the son of the late Robert Sr. and Louise Stewart Nabors. He retired from Sealtest and Kroger. Mr. Nabors attended Hermitage Presbyterian Church. He was a World War II veteran and served in the South Pacific. On Tuesdays, he looked forward to enjoying Fletcher’s Pizza.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Flowers, and three brothers, L.B. Nabors, Jimmy Jenkins, and Gene Nabors.
He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Mildred Nabors; son, Bob Nabors and his wife, Beverly; two granddaughters, Alisa Stantz and Tammy Nabors; two great grandchildren, Nash and Hailey, and several other relatives and friends.
Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Hermitage Funeral Home from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
The Celebration of Life Service will be conducted on Sunday, May 7, 2017 in the chapel of Hermitage Funeral Home at 2:00 pm.
Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
