Michael served the Metro Nashville Police Department for 31 years. He was recently appointed to Deputy Chief in May, an honor he stated he always hoped to receive in his career. Michael was a devoted Titans fan and hardly ever missed a game since the Titans came to Nashville. Michael loved the parts of life that were simple. A boat ride, a day at the beach, a ride in his son’s truck, dogs, and a quiet day at home washing cars or watching football. He will always be remembered as a devoted police officer, husband, one in a million father, and friend.
There will be a visitation for Michael on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Cornerstone Church, 726 W. Old Hickory Blvd, Madison, TN 37115 from 10:30AM to 12:00PM with a Celebration of Life service at 1:00 PM. His committal will be at 2:45 PM at Hermitage Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 535 Shute Ln, Old Hickory, TN 37138.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Senior Dog Sanctuary, 765 Nonaville Road, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122 in Michael's honor.
