Emma Marion Gale Lebanon passed away on Sunday and entered Eternity, Sunday February 10, 2019. Born January 7, 1929, she was preceded in death by parents Aubrey Rutland and Murl Rutland Trevathan, Brother, Thomas Rutland; sisters, Neva Sykes and Reva Walton.
Survived by loving husband Lloyd E Gale Jr.; children, Sherrie (Anthony) Orange, Eddie Gale, Don (Aletha) Gale; 2 grandchildren, Keith (Lauren) Gale, Lauren (Ben) Shullah; 2 great grandchildren.
Marion graduated from Gleason High School, Gleason, Tennessee in 1947. While there she played basketball and participated in many drama productions. She attended college at Martin. It was there she developed a lifelong love for painting and quilting.
She was married to Lloyd Gale Jr for over 60 years who survives her.
She was active in the school P.T.A., an active room mother, and assisted her husband coaching Little League Baseball at Una Recreation Center. Teaching Sunday school and Ladies Bible Class was so important to her where ever they attended church. She performed those tasks admirably for decades.
With her husband, Lloyd they helped establish the Bethlehem Church of Christ in Ashland City, Tennessee and the Powell Grove Church of Christ in Lebanon, Tennessee where she is an active member still. No preacher ever had a more ideal wife.
Visitation Wednesday, February 13th 11am till time of service.
Funeral Service Wednesday, February 13th 12pm at Hermitage Funeral Home in Old Hickory, Tennessee followed by interment at Mt Olivet Cemetery. Lloyd Gale will officiate the service along with assistance from his two sons.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made for mission funds to the Powell Grove Church of Christ.
The family would like to publicly thank Quality Health Care Center in Lebanon for their loving care as the struggles of Alzheimer’s took its ugly toll upon Marion.
