It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we mourn the loss of Logan Drue Pelton. Born on January 30, 2002, in Charleston, South Carolina, he left this world on October 8, 2023, at the far-too-young age of 21. A cherished son, adored brother, beloved grandson, and treasured friend, Logan made an enduring imprint on countless lives. He also leaves behind a void that can never be filled in the hearts of his father, Joe Pelton, and his siblings, Hannah and Eli Pelton. His mother, Heather Pelton, preceded him in death.
To know Logan was to love him. His smile was infectious, his heart was wildly generous, and his adventurous spirit knew no bounds. Logan lived with kindness, integrity, and loyalty, and he constantly strived to improve and challenge himself. His laughter was eruptive and contagious, and he gave the most legendary hugs.
A dedicated and skilled machinist, Logan was well-loved and respected by his colleagues and supervisors alike. His unwavering commitment not only to his craft but also to his teammates left a lasting impact on those he worked with.
Logan's greatest passion and joy in life was mountain biking. He lived and breathed it since he was 4 years old, pedaling fiercely to try and keep up with his Dad. It wasn't long before Dad couldn't keep up with him. Logan was known far and wide for his exceptional talent, lightning speed, and numerous accomplishments on the trails. The way his eyes lit up when he recounted tales of his riding escapades was a testament to the joy he found in every ride. Beyond his incredible skill of fearlessly shredding the trails, Logan cultivated a community of fellow mountain bikers, generously sharing his expertise and igniting in others the same passion that fueled his own adventures. He turned ordinary trails into avenues of friendship and mentorship.
As we remember the hugs Logan gave, the laughter he shared, the trails he conquered, and the lives he touched, we know his remarkable light lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. Though we grieve the years we won't have with Logan, we are immensely grateful for the ones we did. His presence was a matchless gift, and we are better for having had him in our lives. May his legacy of love, adventure, and purposeful living inspire and carry all of us.
There will be a Gathering of Friends and Family on Saturday October 14, 2023 at the Hermitage Funeral Home, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN from 2:00PM - 4:00PM. The Celebration of Life service will begin at 4:00PM in the Tulip Grove chapel at the funeral home.
