Kathy J. Carman, age 64, of Old Hickory, Tennessee passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022. Kathy was born on January 8, 1958, in Mayfield, KY to her parents Phillip Harold and Betty Jean Yates Drowns.
Kathy was a graduate of David Lipscomb College with a bachelor's degree in chemistry and attended Vanderbilt University graduate school for chemical engineering. Kathy was a Special Agent Forensic Scientist for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. She was a member of Donelson Church of Christ.
Her faith was important to her as well as spending time with family. She enjoyed skiing, scuba diving, gardening, and arts and crafts. She had a big heart for animals and loved a good joke.
Kathy is survived by her children: Katie Nicole Carman and Nicholas Ryan Carman; and sister Karen Smith.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday January 7, 2023, at Hermitage Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN 37138. Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 p.m. with the service following at 2:00 p.m.
