Joseph Fred Jacobs Jr

Joseph Fred Jacobs, Jr, age 87 of Old Hickory, TN passed away April 20, 2017. He is survived by his son, Joseph Fred Jacobs III (Christine); daughter, Linda Carol Taylor (Mike Moore); granddaughter, Lauren Salazar; great-grandchildren, Cassie Wasielewski, Fernado “Dito” Salazar, Ana Maria Salazar, Gabreilla “Gaby” Salazar and Eva Salazar; sister, Margaret Lowder; nephew, David Lowder; nieces, Debbie Lowder and Pam Allan.

Joseph was a member of First Baptist Church of Hermitage. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in the Korean War. He was a retired Route Salesman for Purity Dairy in Nashville. He loved doing woodworking, but most of all, he truly loved his family very much.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 pm Monday, April 24, 2017 at Hermitage Funeral Home, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN with Rev. David Taft officiating. Interment will follow with Military Honors in Hermitage Memorial Gardens with Family & Friends serving as pallbearers.

A Gathering of Family & Friends will be from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm Sunday, April 23, 2017 and from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
