John R. Poole Sr.

John R. Poole Sr. passed away peacefully December 4, 2019. John graduated at the top of his class from the University of Life with a degree in hard knocks and lessons learned. He was married for over 67 years, raised five children owned his own business and was frequently seen at Waffle House #950 solving the world’s problems. He will be missed by many.

He is preceded in death by his parents Gilbert and Nella Poole; Siblings Radine Poole, Paul Poole, Robert T. Poole, Henry Poole, Blanche Poole, Mary Elizabeth Poole, Margaret Poole, Virginia Poole, James Poole and Joseph Poole.

Survived by his loving wife Pearl A. Poole, Children Linda P. Ford, John R. (Pam) Poole Jr., Terry Wayne Poole, Theresa Ann Guin, David (Mary) Poole; grandchildren Richard D. Ford, Jeanna (Jason) Dunnivant, Josh (Kaylynn) Poole, Jared Poole and Nina Rene Guin; great grandchildren Jack Dunnivant, Samantha Dunnivant and Connor Poole; siblings Shirley Morris, Elaine (Don) Davis, Bobby Poole and Rosie Parker.

Gathering of family and friends Thursday December 5, 2019 from 4:00 pm- 8:00pm at Hermitage Funeral Home also on Friday December 6, 2019 from 10:00 am- 11:00am. Celebration of Life will begin on Friday at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Hermitage Funnel Home. Burial following Hermitage Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Alive Hospice Nashville, TN.
