ROACH, James B. (Daddy Jim)Went to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully in his sleep. Surviving is the love of his life, his wife, Hellene Ruth Roach (Cutie Pie). Two stepsons whom he loved dearly survived by, Don (Karen) Taylor and Ron (Rosemary) Taylor, and four grandchildren who were his pride and joy, MAJ Bart (Heather) Taylor, Alex (Lindsay) Taylor, Katherine (Wesley) Welch and Jessica Taylor. He also leaves four adorable great- granddaughters, Addison, Lillian, Emilyn and Emma. Also surviving is his only sister, Clara Underhill and her children, Mike, Greg, Cathy and Craig; a nephew, Jerry (Carolyn) Binkley and a niece, Wanda Warren. He was loved by many other family members, including the Roach girls Betty, Frances and Martha. Jim was proud to serve in World War II, including the Battle of the Bulge. After service and college at MTSU, he worked as a credit manager at Beaman Pontiac for 26 years. As an active member of Lakewood Baptist Church, he was the church treasurer for many years. We want to thank two friends who stood by Ruth through Jim's illness, and were with her at the end, these are Doris Woodard and Mary Davenport. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2013 at the Hermitage Funeral Home, with Bro. Keith Cameron officiating. Entombment will follow in the Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., and 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Elijah's Place at Lantern Lane Farms, 6201 Corinth Road, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122
