He was born in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late John Robert Creager and Mabel Mary Brinkmeirer Creager. Jim was a longtime resident of Antioch. He was an AVCO employee for 24 years before he became self-employed. He served our country in the Air Force during the Korean War. Jim enjoyed boating, dancing, and was an avid fisherman. He attended Methodist churches, and was a member of the West Nashville Phoenix Lodge #131 F & AM and American Legion Post 88. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Mary Creager; children, Russell (Gwen) Creager and Mary Annette (Drew) Wileczek; brother, Richard Creager; 12 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Hermitage Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and also on Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.
The Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Hermitage Funeral Home at 11:00 am with Chaplain Aaron Menard from Alive Hospice officiating.
Interment and Military Honors will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
