A native of Nashville, she was born to the late Robert H. Allen and Annie B. Richardson. Mrs. Ball retired from the insurance industry where she worked as a claims adjuster for malpractice lawsuits. She was a longtime member of Life Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Ralph Alexander Ball; son, Brent Anthony Ball; sisters, Dottie Forewright and Mary Evelyn Lentz; and brother, Robert H. “Bobby” Allen, Jr.
Mrs. Ball is survived by her children, Michael Ball, Kathy (Myles) O’Reilly and Tim (Pam) Ball; sisters, Anita, Susan, Linda and Gayle; eleven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be at Hermitage Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
The Celebration of Jean's Life will be on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 10:00 am at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
