Throughout her life, Janice enjoyed the outdoors. Her favorite pastime was fishing and going to the lake, but she also enjoyed watching humming birds and planting flowers. She was a homemaker for many years but the enjoyment she received from planting and arranging flowers was evidenced when she owned and operated her own flower shop. She enjoyed playing pool, cards, and even tackled some jigsaw puzzles during the Corona Virus Pandemic but soon grew frustrated with the puzzles and being indoors.
Janice was very family-oriented and had a fierce love for her family. She enjoyed any and every opportunity to get together with them. She will be greatly missed.
Janice is preceded in death by her father Johnnie Kemp; her mother Mary Elizabeth (Vaughn) Kemp; her son Johnny Dillon; and brothers Ronnie Neil Kemp, Donald Wayne Kemp, and Michael Leroy Kemp. Janice is survived by her life partner of twenty-nine years, Gary Hullett; her daughter Tina Ross; as well as close cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 2pm – 3pm followed by a graveside Celebration of Life in the Garden of Memories at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
